This shiraz is a cracker, no two ways about it. Black pepper hits first, then a whisper of mescal smoke underneath. Sweet plum carries it through the middle, propped up by roasted nuts, velvety cream, redcurrants and a hit of salted dark chocolate. Fresh, vibrant, dense, peppery — it cleanses as much as it satisfies. The tannin is fine and tightly woven, still flecked with spice right through the finish. Put simply, this wine is hard to say no to.
