Name story - Countryside Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine that reflects the Clare Valley countryside – think Aussie outback, dusty, gumtree’s, beautiful and laid back.

Vintage season - 2023 was a vintage for the ages in the Clare Valley for us. It was the third Lanina in a row, which lead to a late harvest starting in March, with big crops. The great thing was even know we had big crops the quality of fruit was still outstanding.
Cabernet Sauvignon picked on the 22nd March - We are chasing freshness, fruit forward wines in a medium bodied style with our cabs, because the grapes hung on the vine for longer than usual, they had time to produce flavour with great concentration. We
have seen some of the best Cabernets to date come from the
2023 vintage.

Tasting notes - On the nose you get fresh herbs and plums which carry through to the palate, along with blueberries and some subtle red fruits. These are complemented with a touch of earthiness, combined with gentle, velvety tannins. This wine is a happy medium body and not to heavy – perfectly balanced. A great representation of Clare Valley Cabernet.
