Sauvignon Blanc

A homage to the wines of the Loire Valley, the 2022 Blanc is a pure expression of what our region can produce when the vineyard and vintage come together in perfect harmony.  Barrel fermented with full malolactic fermentation from super vineyard sites in the heart of Piccadilly.

We continue our love for Sauvignon Blanc from our region whilst paying homage to those of Sancerre. Barrel fermented and picked ripe, but with the linear acidity you get from the cool sites and the season.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Adelaide Hills, grown at 500 to 620 meters above sea level, from the vineyards of Summertown, Ashton and Morialta. They're 16 to 22 years old and unknown exactly which clones. 

The grapes were pressed as whole clusters and settled overnight in a steel tank before being racked into neutral French barriques and hogsheads for eight months. - Winery note
