From the property in Steels Creek where Bobar was produced 2013-2021, farmed organically. Cab franc is so beautifully suited to the Yarra: it retains great freshness and elegance while possessing the structure, natural acidity and ripeness that is the hallmark of this little area. In 2022 its later flowering worked in its favour with a great yield.

Hand-harvested whole bunches were left entire & uncrushed for two-week maceration prior to pressing to seasoned barrels for the remainder of the ferments and maturation over winter. Intensely bright red in colour, fresh & firm.
