Yes, it’s Pelaverga, but in a riper and more juicy frame. There’s classic white pepper and strawberry, dried rose too, but an extra dimension of ripeness here, moving into squishy raspberry and cherry, with some almond paste, so much so that lovers of this grape variety may wonder if it’s all a bit too much? But no, there’s the rain water ‘mineral’ acidity, fine dusty peppery tannin, and a strawberry and white pepper finish of excellent length. The almond paste thing still there. A more succulent expression of the big P, but so lovely. More structure, and yet still a whole lot of fun. Do it. 94 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
